Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great honor to invite you to the neurosurgical congress entitled Neurosurgery Days of Comenius University and P.J. Šafárik University - Bratislava Neurosurgery Days 2024. Although this is the fourth year of this event, it will feature several firsts.
As the name suggests, this year the conference will be jointly organized by the Department of Neurosurgery of Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University and University Hospital Bratislava, the Department of Neurosurgery of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University and Martin University Hospital, and, for the first time, also by the Department of Neurosurgery of University Hospital of Louis Pasteur and Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Hence, with the gradual development, the local event has become a university congress, which is jointly organized by all three neurosurgical departments of public universities in the Slovak Republic.
Another first is the fact that the event will be held in collaboration with the Slovak Neurosurgical Society for the first time, and we are sincerely looking forward to this cooperation.
Our joint effort is to provide you not only with a quality professional program that reflects current knowledge and trends in modern neurosurgery and neuroscience but also with a pleasant environment for professional discussions. We are very pleased that several distinguished international speakers have accepted our invitation to participate in the event.
This year's congress is organized under the auspices of the Rectors of Comenius University in Bratislava, Prof. JUDr. Marek Števček, DrSc., and the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, Prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD.; the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University, Prof. MUDr. Juraj Payer, PhD., MPH, FRCP, FEFIM; and the Director of the University Hospital Bratislava, MUDr. Alexander Mayer, PhD., MPH, MHA. We highly appreciate and thank these eminent personalities, who represent institutions of national importance, for their patronage.
The event is included in continuing medical education and is awarded CME credits, 15 credits for doctors and 6 credits for nurses. Nurses are given the option of registering for active participation in a separate nursing section of the event.
